Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to Soulmap, including the website, map features, shared preset links, cloud-linked preset features, and moderation or support interactions related to those features.

2. Information Soulmap collects

• Account and session data such as your Discord-linked account identifier, username, session information, and feature access state.
• User content such as presets, custom markers, drawings, preset names and descriptions, media URLs, and other map data you choose to store or share.
• Device-local preferences stored in your browser, including map visibility settings, local markers, consent state, and similar client-side preferences.
• Operational and moderation data such as logs, abuse reports, takedown requests, and diagnostics needed to maintain service integrity and safety.

3. How Soulmap uses information

• To operate the map, account, cloud sync, preset sharing, tracking, and moderation systems.
• To make shared presets available to people who open a valid shared link.
• To investigate abuse, enforce the Terms of Service, process reports, and handle copyright or rights-holder complaints.
• To improve reliability, diagnose errors, and protect the service from misuse, spam, or malicious behavior.

4. Shared presets and public visibility

When you share a preset, anyone with the link may be able to view the preset content and related metadata such as the preset name, description, drawings, marker content, and linked media references. Do not include sensitive personal information in any shared preset.

5. Reports, takedowns, and rights requests

To report a preset, request removal of copyrighted material, raise a privacy complaint, or flag other harmful or unauthorized content, use the official Discord server and contact the moderation team through modmail. Soulmap may ask for supporting information before taking action.

6. Moderation and zero-tolerance content rules

Soulmap maintains zero-tolerance moderation for racist, sexist, hateful, harassing, exploitative, or otherwise abusive content. If a shared preset, custom marker, or drawing contains prohibited content, Soulmap may delete the preset and ban the responsible user account.

7. Retention and deletion

Local-only preferences remain on your device unless you choose to sync or share them. Server-side data may be kept for as long as needed to operate Soulmap, resolve disputes, enforce rules, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain service security.

8. Changes to this policy

Soulmap may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Continued use after an update may require renewed acceptance in the app.
